I'm not really sure what kind of shader black magic goes on that causes this, but try going into the shader options and unticking each box until the odd shadows go away. I'm opening this topic once again because I recently bought a new computer. My drivers are updated, I've already attempted the ssao lighting suggestion (to no avail), I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well disabling and re-enabling mods. I take it you have a 4k monitor based on your in-game graphics settings, but does the game look better at a QHD resolution? Even if you don't want to play like that, it's useful information. Even though it's unlikely to be affecting the graphics in Sims 4, it should be noted that your C drive is quite low on free space.
